The Purblic Relations Committee, formerly the Charitable Causes Committee, is a newly formed committee as of 2012. The function of this committee is to maintain a favorable public image of CMARC. As well as demonstrate its credibility and authority in both the local and national business of relocation and HR communities. The PR committee will be the main support of CMARC's efforts to promote events and initiatives within CMARC; to its members, the media and relocation and HR communities.
Under the direction of the chair, the team is responsible for:
- developing and executing all aspects of online promotion; incluidng photos from each event
- develop PR campaings using social media
- Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship Program (high school senior scholarship, information below)
- Corporate Member ERC Scholarship Program (corporate member of CMARC scholarship, information below)

The Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship Program
Scholarship program for a current high school senior who has relocated into the Charlotte area sometime between grades 9 (after 8th grade graduation) and 12th. The one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to one Charlotte area high school senior this year . The award will be sent to the college that the student will be attending to assist with tuition, etc.
In addition to the $1,000 paid by CMARC, CMARC on behalf of the winning student, will submit for matching funds from Worldwide ERC.

Corporate Member ERC Scholarship Program
The corporate member ERC scholarship program was developed in 2011. It awards one current corporate member of CMARC who is registered to attend an ERC conference in that given year with $1,000 to assist with the costs associated of attending the conference. The award is paid directly to the winning corporate member, or their company, as a reimbursement.

For many years, CMARC has partnered with Friendship Trays (www.friendshiptrays.org) and most recently with Crisis Assistance Ministries (www.crisisassistance.org). In addition, this committee will work to identify other charitable organizations with which CMARC can interface and achieve a positive a impact.
